The Bezzas present a diverse assortment of material from Sweden, England and far beyond; raw dance music, traditional folk songs and new compositions. This unique duo allows Hank Williams to mingle with erratic Bingsjö polskas and earthy fiddle lines to slink around a storytelling voice.
Emma Reid has musical roots in both England and Sweden, where she has studied Swedish folk music performance at Stockholm’s Royal College of Music. She is a truly natural fiddle player, with a deeply personal style and a real ability to speak through her fiddle. Roger Wilson is a singer, guitarist and fiddler from Leicester. He is impressive not only for his extraordinary talent as a songwriter and musician, but as a brilliant and passionate interpreter of traditional and contemporary material.
"The Bezzas charmed their audience with a night of great folk music. They clearly enjoyed mixing up some unlikely musical bed-fellows;
weird and wonderful fiddle tunes were sparring with weird and wonderful songs, performed beautifully and with an obvious love of their craft.
They had taken great care to make sure the sound was really excellent in the venue, opting for a simple set up which made the music sound totally acoustic.
